Straight answers to what visitors ask most before making the trip for glasses in Seoul.
Do you speak English?
Yes. English-speaking staff are on the floor, so the eye test, the lens explanation and the fitting all happen in English. This is the main reason travellers pick us when they need an optical shop in Seoul.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in any day between 10:00 and 21:00. A Gangnam eye exam is free and needs no booking — if you would rather tell us you are coming, message us on Instagram.
How long does it take to get glasses?
As fast as 30 minutes for most standard prescriptions. Complex progressive or high-prescription lenses can take longer, and we will tell you the honest timing before you pay.
Is the eye test really free?
Yes. The walk-in eye test is free whether or not you buy anything. We would rather you knew your prescription than felt obliged.
Can I claim a tax refund?
Yes. We support tax-free shopping for eligible visitors and will help with the paperwork at the counter — worth knowing if you are comparing glasses in Seoul on price.
How do I get there from Nonhyeon Station?
Take Exit 3 and walk about 2 minutes along Gangnam-daero. We are on the ground floor of the Beomseong Building at number 522. Nonhyeon Station is on Line 7 and the Sinbundang Line.
Is there parking?
Yes. There is customer parking directly in front of the shop, and valet parking is available.
Which brands do you carry?
MYKITA, DITA, ic! berlin, götti, Anne et Valentin, Porsche Design, MARKUST, Kaneko Optical, Oakley and Rudy Project, alongside Korean designer brands.
Can you make progressive or multifocal glasses?
Yes — it is one of our specialities. We are an Essilor partner store and fit Varilux XR progressives, with measurements taken on VISIOFFICE equipment during your Gangnam eye exam.
Do you do myopia control for children?
Yes. We fit HOYA MiYOSMART lenses, which are designed to slow the progression of myopia in children, and consultations for children are a regular part of our week.
Do you sell contact lenses?
Yes — a wide range of soft and RGP (hard) contact lenses, fitted after the same free eye test.
What are your opening hours?
10:00 to 21:00, seven days a week, including public holidays.
